    I see you're keeping excellent company, with Penelope Fitzgerald and George Orwell; then, a little further away, Benjamin Britten + Peter Pears and, of course, occasional writerly resident, Susan Hill. Did you get a chance to visit Maggi Hambling's controversial scallop?

  5. Hi Mynne! Indeed, it is dripping with literary personages - and last feb I went to Aldeburgh, stayed in the garden of Britten's Red House, for two weeks reading space. Loved it! And the shell, in the wind, sings.
